Jim in MN wrote on Thursday, November 27, 2014 (PST):My Dad had one like that when I was a kid in the 50s. He filled about 6 or 8 silos with it we had a sigle row corn head on it. Dad had the chopper and three barge boxes with high sides and the neighbors that filled silos had wagons also. they always chopped off to the side. I think the neighbors were all part of the old threshing ring. I remember Grampa was chopping one time and turned to tight to the wrong side and put the snout through the tire of the new 830 caseomatic we had. that was when all the neighbors worked together. Sure is different now.
